Getting there:
Round-trip flights between Medford and LAX ranging from $265 - $518 per ticket.
Driving: 683miles (10hrs and 24mins) from Klamath Falls. Average price for gas in CA is $4.45/gal. With a vehicle that gets 20MPG budget between $280-$300 for the fuel to get there and back.
Amtrak: 11 Coast Starlight Round Trip between Klamath Falls and LA - Coach $146-$230 per ticket. Private Rooms between $1043-$1137.
Staying there:
Hotels are ranging between $168 for a regular room to $597 for 5 star hotels.
We recommend (from personal experience) finding a hotel that you can afford that is relatively close to the park you are going to . My wife and I went to Universal Studios a few years ago. We made the mistake of booking a hotel on the outskirts of LA trying to save money. The $100 rideshare rides quickly ate up the difference between the price of the hotels on the outskirts and the hotels close to the park. We also tacked on an hour and a half getting there and back that we could have spent doing more fun things.
