No Winners Last Week — This Week’s Classic Country Trivia Contest: Double the Prizes!
We’ve got something special for all our trivia fans this week — two prizes, one winner!
Last week’s challenge question stumped everyone, so we’re rolling that prize into this week’s pot. That means if you get this week’s question right, you’ll win two great books: one about Merle Haggard and one about Johnny Cash.
Let’s take a quick look back at last week’s question:
“In a 1997 interview, Merle Haggard was asked to describe his career using just six words. What six words did he use?”
We received some fantastic guesses, including:
-
“The Poet of the Common Man”
-
“I’ve always been a hard luck case”
-
“I played the game, I won”
But the correct answer comes straight from Merle’s autobiography My House of Memories, where on page 21, he summed up his journey like this:
“A thirty-five-year bus ride.”
Since no one got it right, we’re adding My House of Memories to this week’s prize.
📚 This Week’s Prize Pack:
-
“Johnny Cash: The Redemption of an American Icon” by Greg Laurie
-
“My House of Memories” by Merle Haggard
One lucky winner takes them both!
🧠 This Week’s Challenge Question:
“What was Johnny Cash’s Military Occupational Specialty — his official job — during his service in the U.S. Air Force?”
